2019
Investing For Better – Developed program to guide NGO leaders to integrate ESG investment themes into their value proposition and pitch decks, in order to attract capital to projects and programs that deliver community benefit in addition to financial returns. Presented to 1000+ founders and entrepreneurs at the 2019 Conference for Global Transformation in Los Angeles.
RWatson Financial – Launched personal finance advisory practice to assist owners and investors in constructing investment portfolios that deliver community benefits in addition to financial returns
USGBC-LA – Joined local chapter of US Green Building Council to gain direct knowledge of best practices in building decarbonization. Attended 2019 Net Zero conference to further the cause of net zero carbon building codes and practices.
Project Drawdown – Attended national Project Drawdown conference at Penn St University, to collaborate with thought leaders, scientists and practitioners working to implement the technologies and systems that will drive decarbonization quickly and cost effectively across the global economy and supply chains.
2020
Climate Reality – Attended the first-ever virtual Climate Reality Project training program in June 2020. Trained directly with Al Gore to deliver policy messaging to the general public, to raise awareness and political will to address climate change across all sectors
Los Angeles Regional Collaborative – Joined county-wide forum for sharing and dissemination of climate resilience policy tools available in the State of California
Conscious Capitalism – Joined social network of business entrepreneurs and investors working to raise corporate strategy and behavior in ways that fulfill and enrich the social contract between people, government and corporations.
2021
GEC – Collaborated with local leaders and activists to protest the expansion of Glendale’s municipal power system, and replace gas-powered capacity with low-carbon renewable alternatives. Reduced methane gas power requirements by 66%, prior to construction of new power systems.
Cool Blocks – Canvassed local neighborhood to raise participation in local resilience planning and information sharing, as a pilot for a Los Angeles city-wide campaign
Glendale Tech Smart – Created a team and submitted a proposal to operate a clean-tech incubator program with and for the City of Glendale
